About 50 exhibitors showcased their products and services at Polish transport, warehousing and logistics expo Logistex 2007 from April 24 to April 25.
Show visitors to the Łódź Expo hall in Łódź, Poland, came from Belgium, Turkey, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. They represented logistics, transport and forwarding companies.
The exhibitors included warehouse equipment suppliers, transport equipment producers; companies specialising in transport, forwarding and distribution, logistics and distribution centres, IT companies dealing with computerisation and process automation, consultancies and trade publications.
Forklifts, cranes, overhead cranes, conveyors, stackers, feeders, manipulators, trucks and commercial vehicles, magnetic and optical readers and automatic data identification systems were among the exhibited products.
The Institute of Logistics and Warehousing and the Polish Chamber of Forwarding and Logistics held a conference titled "Practical Aspects of Warehousing" that addressed prospects for the development of logistics centres in Poland and forwarding companies' contribution to the development of logistics services and warehouse technology.
Show organiser Kolporter Expo company said in a statement the next Logistex in April 2008 is likely to be held in a new facility, the Expo Silesia in Sosnowiec, south Poland.
