Michigan-based materials handling equipment manufacturer Pettibone has released its new 1044X telehandler which it claims is “the industry’s only telehandler with a traversing boom carriage that can slide forward along the machine frame”.
Pettibone says the Extendo 1044X provides up to 70 inches (1.8 m) of horizontal boom transfer with a maximum load capacity of 10,000 lbs. (4,536 kg) and a maximum lift height of 13.6 m.
The telehandler is powered by a 74-horsepower Deutz tier 4 final diesel engine, featuring a DOC muffler which requires no diesel exhaust fluid.
The 1044X does not use outriggers which Pettibone claims reduces maintenance while enhancing operational speed.
Drivetrain and axles on the 1044X have been optimised to provide greater tractive effort.
The Dana VDT12000 Powershift transmission has three speeds, forward and reverse. Full-time 4WD is also standard.
Pettibone was founded in 1881 and offers a full line of telescopic handlers.
