Nissan Forklift Corp has named Wayne Petty as winner of its 2012 Pinnacle Award, the highest recognition that the firm bestows on an individual.
Petty is senior territory manager with Greensboro, North Carolina-based Western Carolina Forklift Inc., a Nissan dealership since 1976.
Petty joined the company in 2003. The dealer principal of Western Carolina Forklift nominated Petty for the award for his excellent customer service, smart use of Nissan Forklift sales tools and team-oriented attitude.
"Much of his success is due to his superior dedication to and support of his customers," says David Hayes, chief executive officer of Western Carolina Forklift. "Wayne has put together a very loyal customer base because of his honesty, integrity and reliability."
James J. Radous III, vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan Forklift in Marengo, says: "Wayne Petty exhibits the qualities that Nissan Forklift wants to present to its customers. We're proud to acknowledge him with this Pinnacle Award."
Nissan Forklift created the award in 1994 to honour the top sales representatives who exhibit a consistently high level of sales performance and professionalism.
In addition to its Greensboro location, Western Carolina Forklift has branches in Charlotte and Elm City, North Carolina and Bluff City, Tennessee.
The dealership also represents lines of Doosan, Barrett, Hyundai, Big Joe and EP forklifts; Landoll and Bendi narrow-aisle forlklifts; Master Craft rough-yerrain forklifts; Genie and JLG aerial work platforms; and IPC Eagle scrubbers and sweepers.
