New campaign focuses on finding talentThe Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) is promoting its Shining a light on the industry that holds the world up campaign which has been designed to attract fresh talent to a sector which has identified a critical skills shortage.
“The LEEA launched this campaign to spotlight an industry that’s essential – yet often overlooked,” the body states.
“Our global survey revealed critical challenges facing the lifting sector: skills shortages, limited training pathways, and a lack of awareness among the next generation.
“For too long, lifting has been a hidden career path – despite offering rewarding, hands-on roles that make a real impact on safety, progress, and global infrastructure.
“Through this initiative, LEEA is working to raise awareness, attract fresh talent, and support the entire industry in building a stronger, more sustainable future. It’s time to champion the people behind the lifts – and show the world why lifting matters.”
The industry body has developed a new microsite to support the campaign: leealiftingfutures.com.
The LEEA says the website can be used by businesses to attract apprentices, upskill their current workforce or reach new talent with transferable skills, by providing “a gateway to strategies, tools and support”.
The website, LEEA states, can be used by individuals seeking a career or new job within the sector.
Ross Moloney, CEO of LEEA, says: “For too long, lifting has been a hidden career path – despite offering rewarding, hands-on roles that make a real impact on safety, progress and global infrastructure”.
