Forklifts Group expands footprint

Ohio-headquartered materials handling equipment dealer Forklifts Group has announced it is expanding its business operations to the US West Coast where it has opened seven new dealership locations.

The company has previously had operations only in Ohio and New York but now has new locations across California in Fresno, Sacramento, Manteca, Bakersfield, San Diego, Santa Maria, Los Angeles as well as in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Now with 10 dealerships, Forklifts Group has become one of the US’s top Bobcat materials handling dealerships.

Bill St. John, Forklifts Group president, says of the strategic move: "We look forward to the positive impact this change will bring for our customers. With an increased footprint across the country, our focus will be to serve customers nationally as a top Bobcat forklift dealer."

Forklifts Group’s new operations will be overseen by Brent Poulton, who has been appointed as West Coast president for the group.

"This next step will allow us to more closely align our efforts with an organisation with a proven successful track record of more than 40 years in the material handling network," Poulton says. "We'll see immediate benefits as we leverage our inventories, processes, purchasing power, and marketing efforts." 

Forklifts Group also partners with Clark, Doosan, Manitou, Linde, Sellick and Snorkel.
