Terex Corporation has appointed R. Mark Cox as senior vice president corporate development, reporting to Simon Meester, the company’s president and chief executive officer.

Cox, who is joining Terex from Trinity Industries, succeeds Randy S. Williamson, who is retiring.

Cox was executive vice president of corporate development at Trinity Industries since 2021. Previously, over the prior 18 years, he had served in senior M&A positions with Wabtec Corporation, Eaton Corporation and Stone Canyon Industries. He began his career in investment banking including roles with US Warburg and Prudential Securities.

Cox earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School, also at the University of Virginia.

He is a seasoned executive with more than 28 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions with high-growth and Fortune 500 companies. I am confident he will be instrumental in helping Terex accelerate its growth," says Meester.

Former Toyota Industries Commercial Finance (TICF) president and chief executive officer Mark Taggart has assumed the role of chief financial officer for Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA).

Taggart will continue his role as chairman of Toyota Industries Global Commercial Finance, overseeing TICF.

As TMHNA CFO, Taggart will shape the financial strategy of TMHNA’s major group companies Toyota Material Handling and The Raymond Corporation from his office in Coppell, Texas. 

Taggart joined the Toyota group of companies in 1996. Since then he has helped drive the establishment of Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB) and served as TFSB’s president and chief executive officer.

John Crews, TICF General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, will succeed Taggart as TICF President.

Joe Perkins

Carolina Handling has promoted Joe Perkins to chief operating officer.

Perkins has served as executive vice president of operations at the Raymond dealership since April 2020.

He joined the company in 2012 as a sales representative, moving up to sales manager, corporate warehouse solutions manager, director of warehouse products and solutions and vice president of operations before being named to the executive team.

“Joe has shown incredible leadership as a member of our executive team, working tirelessly to not only elevate our organisation in the material handling space but also to help individual associates develop and realize their career goals,” says Carolina Handling President & CEO Brent Hillabrand.

Perkins is a graduate of the University of Mt. Olive in North Carolina.
