Component makers unveiled a range of exciting next-generation products at the iVT Off-Highway Vehicle Technology Conference and Expo in Chicago this week, with a strong focus on automation.

More than 100 exhibitors attended the event, showcasing new industrial vehicle components, materials and concepts.

Delta-Q, a supplier of battery charging solutions for electric drive vehicles and industrial equipment, revealed its new 700 w charging solution in its RQ Series.

The company’s global director of business development, Rod Dayrit, says the battery charging solutions can integrate with leading-edge systems and are suitable for outdoor power equipment, golf and utility vehicles, e-mobility, materials handling and mobile elevated work platforms.

Off-highway work lighting manufacturer Tyri showcased its INTELLilight lighting system at the expo.

The system allows users to change the colour temperature and brightness of lighting to make working in dust, snow or fog safer.

Autonomous solutions provider Mach unveiled its Mach Perception, a ruggedised high-performance stereo vision platform designed to function in harsh environments.

The system can include features like obstacle detection, row following and vision-based odometry, and comes with optional radar or lidar sensors.

Mach chief executive Colin Hurd says: “Mach designed this solution to fill a serious gap we have consistently found in the off-road autonomy space related to ruggedised machine vision capable hardware.”

HydraForce, which makes hydraulic valves and manifolds, attended the iVT Expo to demonstrate its solutions for precise hydraulic control, machine intelligence, automation and energy efficiency.

“We’re excited to feature our latest in compact hydraulic solutions,” says HydraForce director of product line strategy Brent Dolan.

Fans-Tech Electric America presented motors developed for boom lifts, golf carts and forklifts, including the naturally cooled YST8H4-X lifting motor for forklifts, which has a power rating of between 8kW and 17kW.

“With increased power and efficiencies, the Fans-Tech AC-DC motor drives offer higher kW and RPM with a reduced noise output for greater occupant comfort," says William Bujanovich, sales manager Americas at Fans-Tech Electric America.
