The injured man was rushed to hospital

A man was seriously injured in an industrial accident in Billingham involving a forklift, according to a Teeside Live report.

The 29-year-old man became stuck under a forklift at Seqens' Chemoxy manufacturing site in Billingham in England’s north-east, the report says.

Firefighters extricated the man and he was transported to hospital by ambulance. The man’s medical condition and the extent of his injuries were not known.

Seqens is an integrated global leader in pharmaceutical solutions and specialty ingredients, with operations in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.

The United Kingdom’s Health and Safety Executive has been alerted to the incident.
