As the year draws to a close, so too does the materials handling contributions of one of the leading UK industry figures, James Clark.
Clark is stepping down from the role of secretary-general of the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA), a position he has filled admirably since 1996.
The Forkliftaction team had the pleasure of spending time with James at last year's IMHX show in Birmingham, and we enjoyed hearing his insights into the industry, the UK business environment and the looming Brexit move.
We are sure Clark will be sorely missed, and he can be justifiably proud of his achievements, including the launch of National Forklift Safety Day in the UK and his efforts to pave the way for the merger of BITA with the FLTA, due to be completed next year.
All the best for the future, James!
