Weeks of speculation are over - but now we'll have months of questions and not many answers.
Yes, Mitsubishi has confirmed the acquisition of UniCarriers. And it has confirmed the price and the timing.
But what the future holds for UniCarriers, its range and its dealers will not be known for some time.
Understandably, those involved in planning future strategies have to take their time and consider the ramifications - and we do know that this work will be led by a preparatory committee. But it's not known how long that process will take.
We'll try and monitor the progress.
