 FLTA's 2019 award winners |
The Fork Lift Truck Association is calling for entries to the Safe Site category of the upcoming FLTA Awards for Excellence 2020.
Organisations that have implemented initiatives to improve safety - and can provide evidence of the results - are eligible to enter.
FLTA chief executive Tim Waples says: "No matter how big or small a business is, safety is always paramount. The Safe Site Award is a celebration of the important commitments that companies are showing when it comes to making positive changes in the workplace for the benefit of everyone employed there."
The Safe Site Award provides organisations with the chance to receive hard-earned recognition from peers and the public.
At the 2019 event, Kellogg's took home the coveted Safe Site Award for the extensive measures taken at the company's Manchester plant in efforts to ensure pedestrian and forklift segregation.
Paul Davies, Manchester plant logistics manager at Kellogg's, says: "Safety is our top priority and we are immensely proud of the hard work and innovation that drove the initiatives at our Manchester plant. Winning the award gave us the momentum to build on our success and we are now working on fresh plans designed to take Kellogg's on-site safety to the next level."
Nominations close on 30 September 2019. Winners will be decided by a panel of industry experts, and will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Saturday 21 March 2020.
