Swedish forklift manufacturer Max Truck AB has been declared bankrupt. Attorney Jan Lindahl has been appointed bankruptcy administrator to supervise the company's winding up.

Max Truck AB was founded in 2005 and based in Östersund, Sweden. It was launched with lofty aims to manufacture and market electric forklifts.

The company was trading a few months ago, shipping its second MaxTruck 2T to Professional Material Handling in Orlando, Florida, USA. It was hoped narrow-aisle specialist PMH, with an extensive dealer network, would help establish the brand in that market.

In March, Max Truck's German partner, LINDIG Fördertechnik GmbH, showed off some of its products at the Inserv 2018 exhibition in Frankfurt.

The Swedish government is believed to be among Max Truck AB's shareholders through its Fouriertransform investment vehicle.

At our deadline, there was no information on the reasons for Max Truck's collapse, nor any indication of its debts. Forkliftaction News was not able to reach CEO Peter Claesson.

Attorney Lindahl is expected to soon announce plans to liquidate Max Truck's assets on behalf of creditors.
