South African hire company A Square Forklift is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The company staged a party for more than 350 customers and guests to mark the milestone.
A Square Forklift was founded in 1998 when owner Craig Bradford saw the need for a forklift rental service in Alberton and Johannesburg South.
At the time, he was working with his father, Glenn Bradford, at his B Square Projects construction company when they saw the opportunity for diversification into the forklift rental business. B Square was founded in 1980, but is no longer operating.
The new forklift company, A Square Forklift, started with only two staff members. This has grown to 58 staff members at the main branch. Two additional branches are also in operation in Cape Town and Durban.
A Square has built a reputation for reliability, and any rental forklift which will be down for longer than 24 hours is replaced by a model of similar specification in order to keep the client operational.
The rental fleet consists of Nichiyu, Combilift Aisle-Master and Mitsubishi equipment.
