 Yale's new tow truck |
Yale Europe Materials Handling has expanded its tow tractor range with two new models: the Yale MT70 three-wheel and MT80 four-wheel rider tow tractors.
Capable of towing up to 7,000 kg or 8,000 kg, respectively, the Yale rider tow tractors help manufacturing operations transport material to production lines and is ideal for line-feed operations or applications where the tractors are required to operate inside and out.
The new tow tractors join the established M050-70T standing models and are fully compatible with the Yale modular tugger train system.
"The new tow tractor models are ideal for the logistics 'milk run'," says Tracy Brooks, automotive industry manager for Yale. "These tractors can tow several trailers, delivering new kits to the line operators while collecting empty containers simultaneously. In combination with the Yale tugger train system, customers can modify their solution to meet the exact needs of their line-feed operation."
For customers in the automotive industry, the capabilities of the rider tow tractors allow for increased efficiency in their logistics. To support transitional runs between internal and external use, these models can be fitted with a steel cab. The three-wheel MT70 is available with roll-up PVC doors for outdoor use, while the four-wheel MT80 has a cab option with hinged doors that can be locked, and provides stability over rough or uneven surfaces.
Both models are delivered fully prepped to work with the Yale Vision telematics system, which simplifies installation for customers who choose to retro-fit the solution. Yale Vision provides web-based asset management from anywhere, at any time.
"Our approach to product development is based on a formal process of customer consultation. The introduction of these two new tow tractors is a demonstration of this," Brooks adds.
