Under the National Sales Meeting theme of "ONE DIRECTION ... FORWARD", Douglas Battery focused on its battery and charger solutions, including the most recent addition to the charger product line, the LegaC2 high-frequency modular chargers. The line of chargers features some of the industry's most compact, efficient and versatile designs, and are available as a free-standing or wall-mounted design. In addition to the product lines, a broader battery and charger pairing program was presented during the National Sales Meeting.

Douglas Battery also recognized several of its manufacturer representatives who exceeded
business plan growth for the Douglas Battery product. Recognition was given to the following organizations:
  • Northeast Battery (Providence, Rhode Island)
  • OcTech
  • Michigan Battery
  • Daily Equipment
  • Texas Industrial Battery (Houston, Texas)
  • Industrial Battery and Charger, Inc.
  • Iowa Battery
  • Minnesota Industrial Battery
  • Allied Equipment-Indianapolis
  • Motive Energy Systems
Regional representative awards were presented to Texas Industrial Battery in Houston, Texas, Michigan Battery and Crown Lift Trucks in both Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lastly, Industrial Battery and Charger, Inc. (IBCI) received the 2017 Douglas Battery Representative of the Year. This national award - accepted by several attendees from IBCI - recognizes the representative who goes above and beyond in meeting criteria established by increasing sales over the previous year; meeting an overall sales target set at the first of the year; and supporting all products and programs that Douglas Battery offers as a company. "We are extremely honored to have been chosen as the 2017 Douglas Battery Representative of the Year," said Jason Poston, Vice President of Sales and Service, IBCI. "Our associates continue to work hard every day to support our customers and the Douglas brand. To be recognized for that hard work is very rewarding."

"Working closely with our representative network, we're able to meet our customer's needs quickly and efficiently," said Brian Faust, general manager, Douglas Battery. "It is important that we take pause each year to acknowledge our representatives that not only sell our product, but service it to the best of their ability.
