Italy's Fantuzzi Team Material Handling (FTMH), which launched its new FT45-60 reachstacker at CeMAT in Hannover, Germany, last year, appears to be gaining momentum.

Around 10 FT45-60s machines have so far been sold to customers such as Terminal Intermodale Nola and EMT Trieste in Italy, as well as in Turkey, North and sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition, a FT45-70 model, on a 7 m wheelbase and equipped with a piggyback attachment for handling swap bodies and trailers, has been sold to the Port of Trelleborg in Sweden. The machine is fitted with front support jacks to handle fully loaded trailers at extended load centres (6.5 m) for second rail handling.

In line with its development plan, FTMH is progressing with its new high-stacking mast truck designs for dedicated empty container handling. These are being designed for six-, seven- or eight-high stacking and will be available with sidelift attachments with twistlocks or hooks for 1 over 1 lifting. To help ensure lateral stability during high stacking, width over front axle is 4,500 mm.

The company is also working on heavy forklifts (48-52 T capacity) for the steel industry and other heavy industrial requirements.
