Warehouse One is adding three Flexis
Cheshire-based storage and distribution solutions specialist Warehouse One has upgraded its materials handling equipment with the introduction of Flexi AC articulated forklift trucks from Narrow Aisle Ltd.

Two Flexis have already been delivered, with a third to be supplied later this year.

Warehouse One operates four stand-alone, multi-client warehouse units at its site in Winsford. The units offer some 150,000 sqft. (1,400 sqm) of secure storage space and around 15,000 pallet locations.

A comprehensive range of services, from simple storage and distribution to pick and pack and fault remedy, is undertaken by Warehouse One on behalf of clients ranging from pharmaceutical companies to furniture manufacturers.

After an extensive product evaluation program, the company specified Flexi articulated trucks which had got very positive feedback from its forklift drivers.

"The drivers absolutely love the Flexis," says Nigel Dixon-Smith, Warehouse One's general manager. "They were adamant that the Flexis were the articulated forklift trucks they wanted to work with."

The Flexi fleet will support Warehouse One's growing pick and pack operation, bringing stock out of the bulk store and delivering it to ground-level pick faces.

The trucks will also be used to load and unload lorries and deliver pallets directly to the bulk store racking in a single operation - a process that had previously required counterbalance and reach trucks to perform.
