WorkCover NSW has launched a new safety video which highlights the dangers of using forklifts around pedestrians.
The video demonstrates simple measures which can prevent collisions in the workplace.
The most protection is provided by separating forklifts from pedestrians through the use of barriers. If this is not possible, other measures can help such as:
* Separating them through scheduling
* Using speed limiting devices
* Marking pedestrian areas
* Using reversing devices
