Aurora Award for program
Greenville, NC, United StatesYale Materials Handling Corporation has received a 2013 Gold Aurora Award for its Handle with Care Operator Training Program.
The two-DVD set covers all five classes of forklifts, and includes everything needed to conduct the classroom component of an OSHA-compliant operator-training program. Created in 1996, the Aurora Awards is an international competition honoring excellence in the film and video industries.
Associated buys Peach State
Addison, IL, United StatesSupply chain company Associated will acquire solutions provider Peach State Integrated Technologies Inc for an undisclosed sum. The transaction is expected to finalise in the first quarter of 2014.
Peach State president James R Bowles Jr says the merger will enable his company to grow its North American presence and boost its ability to serve its customers.
Peach State, founded in 1975 and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, provides supply chain consulting, engineering, and automated materials handling solutions.
Peach State will operate as a subsidiary of Associated.
EcoVadis awards TMHE
Brussels, BelgiumA recent EcoVadis survey has placed Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) among the top companies in its industry for its social, economic and environmental sustainability performance.
EcoVadis is an organisation that helps customers to monitor the sustainability profile of their suppliers across 150 sectors and 95 countries, and to make responsible partnership choices.
TMHE is currently preparing its Sustainability Report, due for release later this month.
