Hutchison Port’s Thailand has received eight remote-controlled rubber-tyred gantry cranes and four new remote-controlled super post-panamax cranes at its operations in leading maritime Thai port Laem Chabang Port (LCB).

Hutchison says the new cranes will be the largest installed by Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT) and will operate at Terminal D at the port.

The cranes have an outreach of 24 rows and are capable of handling containers stacked 10-high.

"With this additional equipment, Terminal D will be operating with 14 super post-panamax quay cranes with the final three quay cranes and seven rubber-tyred gantry cranes scheduled for delivery in early 2026,” HPT says in a statement.
