Hoppecke Industrial Batteries has appointed Michael McAthey as its new finance director.
McAthey joins Hoppecke from International Procurement & Logistics, where he was operations accountant and senior line manager with responsibility for direct labour, overheads, packaging and raw materials. Before that, he was cargo financial operational controller at Rapiscan Systems UK, the most senior finance position on-site, reporting directly to the group financial director and the group CFO in the USA. McAthey has also held top financial positions at such companies as Adams Foods (Irish Dairy Board), Indesit UK, SBP, Mahle Industrial Filtration UK and James M Brown.

Frontier Forklifts has appointed Jim Brooks as territory manager. Brooks has been in the forklift business in the greater Houston area for approximately eight years. He understands the market and will offer prompt and professional solutions for any forklift or materials handling needs. His duties include CSS (parts, service, rentals and allied sales) and new and used equipment sales and leasing.

Walker

Simon Walker has been appointed as chief operating officer of Toyota-Lift of Los Angeles (TLA). In his new role, Walker will oversee daily operations of the dealership with an emphasis on enhancing customer loyalty, increasing TLA's presence in the logistics industry and growing the overall business in line with Toyota's Vision 2020 strategy. Walker joins TLA after having spent 18 years with various Raymond dealerships in Canada, Southern and Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
