MAFI Transport-Systems GmbH has signed a dealer agreement with Eastern Lift Truck Co of Maple Shade, New Jersey, appointing Eastern as its premier distribution and service partner in North America.
Jurgen Thorwarth, MAFI sales manager, says: "Eastern Lift is the perfect company to represent our products. They are established, respected, and future-oriented.
"Although MAFI has existed for more than 60 years, the US market is new to us. We look forward to serving new customers, who will benefit from the combination of MAFI's renowned manufacturing quality and Eastern Lift Truck Co's outstanding sales and customer service."
Dan Pruitt, president of Eastern Lift Truck, says he is "extremely pleased to begin our new alliance with MAFI".

MAFI, founded in 1957, developed the Roll On/Roll Off (RoRo) system, and set an industry standard for efficient loading and unloading of ships. Today, the company employs approximately 400 people and operates a large, state-of-the-art production facility in south-central Germany.
Founded in 1971, Eastern Lift Truck is a family-owned business with approximately 850 employees located in seven states.
