LiuGong Machinery Corp is launching a four-month service tour for European key accounts and customers.

This is the first time the leading Chinese construction equipment maker has planned an after-sales service tour in Europe.

The LiuGong Cares Tour will cover eight countries - Poland, Turkey, Hungary, Israel, Azerbaijan, Serbia, the Netherland and Germany. Over 60 LiuGong Europe management and engineering staff; members of its spare parts, service and product development departments; and local dealers will join the tour.

During the program, the team will visit over 70 key accounts and customers and perform routine maintenance on about 200 LiuGong machines.

A LiuGong spokesman tells Forkliftaction.com News that the tour will begin in July and will mainly cover Turkey, Azerbaijan and Serbia.

In addition to the tour, LiuGong says it is consolidating its operations in the Netherlands and will officially open its new parts depot and warehouse in April for faster access to parts and service in the continent.

The company gained a manufacturing base in Central Europe through its acquisition of Huta Stalowa Wola Dressta in January 2012.

LiuGong, headquartered in Liuzhou, China, manufactures equipment including wheel loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, forklifts, motor graders, excavators, rollers, drilling machines, truck mounted and crawler cranes, pavers, cold planners, concrete equipment and mining dump trucks.

The company's sales totaled USD2.32 billion in 2010, when the company sold 56,424 machines. It claims to be ranked among the world's top 20 machine manufacturers.

LiuGong Europe, established in 2010, is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2011, its sales revenue increased more than 169% over 2010.
