When you look around at AGVs and some of the specialist materials handling equipment around today, it's hard to believe that the industry started around 100 years ago and that many of those early innovators are still going strong.
One of those companies celebrating a special milestone is Taylor-Dunn, which, as we report this week, is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
Like so many of the big names still around today, that brand traces its origins to humble beginnings - the garage of its founder. The company has come a long way since RD Taylor designed and built his first electric-powered cart to help him drive new efficiencies across his small poultry supply business in 1949.
