This week's news seems to be dominated by the access market. Besides another acquisition by Dutch hire giant Riwal, the newsletter includes some product and dealer developments.
The elevated platform/access equipment sector is very active and plays a crucial role in materials handling. A growing range of innovative products is increasing productivity and, importantly, safety as we reach higher and move materials over longer distances - and challenging terrains.
The access market is probably also one of the most active for hire and rentals because it's not necessarily part of everyday materials flow, and many users will rent rather than buy.
So, while we go under the Forkliftaction banner, the action is clearly far broader than forklifts - and the market continues to diversify and develop in different handling directions.
