This week's news is dominated by dealer announcements, including dealer appointments and recognition of dealer achievements.
Dealers, of course, are the key contact point between supply and demand, and are really the strongest link between manufacturers and end-users. They are the conduits for all product innovation and provide feedback to their suppliers.
Very few of us get to meet the manufacturers and distributors face-to-face, as I did last week at MODEX. So it is vital that the factories communicate their value propositions to those who represent them in the market - and recognise the contributions of their best performers.
Long live the dealers!
