Those outside the forklift retail sector probably haven't given too much thought to the sales training behind the scenes. When they arrive at a dealership, they expect to find knowledgeable sales staff who not only understand the products, but also the finance process, safety issues and ongoing maintenance demands.
This week, we report on a new Yale training initiative which recently produced its first graduates. The program aims to equip sales professionals for the changing business environment. It is interesting for end-users to learn a little about the person on the other side of the sales process.
No doubt, other manufacturers have their own sales and product education approaches and we'd love to hear about other innovative training efforts out there.
