This week's newsletter includes a couple of items about attachments, the often-overlooked add-ons that make the most of forklifts. In the cases reported, and more generally, attachments provide significant productivity benefits by boosting the capabilities of forklifts, adding finesse to the grunt of the lifter.
We also cover some dealer celebrations this week as two major manufacturers recognise their distribution channel. As the interface between the factory and the shop floor, the role of the dealer cannot be underestimated. Dealers don't just move stock; they also spend a lot of time with buyers, getting to understand their needs. Smart manufacturers use their sales arms to gain insight into customer requirements, industry trends and the general market mood. This, in turn, allows them to sharpen their offering, making it easier for dealers to do business.
And finally, our congratulations go out to CLARK Material Handling which recently celebrated its 100-year milestone. A century is an achievement in any field of endeavour, and 100 years of forklift manufacture is certainly a landmark effort. Wishing everyone at CLARK all the best for the next 100 years.
