One of the biggest forklift manufacturers in the world, Crown Equipment Corporation, has been crippled by a malicious cyber attack.

For more than a week, social media was awash with posts from Crown employees speculating about an IT breach that had halted operations.

Forkliftaction News finally confirmed the cyber attack after the company released a statement announcing it had been targeted by "an international cybercriminal organisation".

It’s not yet clear how long Crown’s operations will be impacted by the attack. We will continue to monitor the situation as it unfolds.

This week we also bring news of the world's best – and worst – container ports, as well as new equipment models, new manufacturing plants and a new warehouse leasing model.
