Since it was formed in 1945, Bolzoni has been active in the design, production and distribution of forklift attachments and industrial materials handling equipment. In 2001, the company merged with the forest products manufacturer Auramo Oy. Bolzoni has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 2006.
In 2007, Bolzoni opened a new 2,700 sqm manufacturing plant dedicated to the production of forks for forklifts and the general materials handling sector. This production unit, serving the entire European market, has one of the most advanced fork production cycles and an innovative production line in terms of automation level and quality standards.
Today, Bolzoni Auramo is a European leader and one of the most important producers in the United States of forklift truck attachments. The company has manufacturing plants in Europe, Asia and America.
Bolzoni Auramo offers a wide range of products used in materials handling and, in particular, forklift attachments, lift tables and forks.
Technological innovation, the use of high quality materials and sophisticated production planning technologies enable the organisation to reduce lead-times and meet clients' safety and technological needs.
For example, the Australian operations of Bolzoni Auramo found that local forklift dealers were calling for equipment which was robust, adaptable and easily detachable for the tough local conditions.

Traditionally in Australia, Bolzoni Auramo fork clamps had been supplied with welded forks, limiting length offerings. Clients operating fork clamps in rough environments have often specified 'bolted forks' to allow easy replacement of worn or damaged forks, and in the past, these special-build attachments have been supplied from Europe with long lead-times.
Bolzoni Auramo Australia Pty and the Bolzoni Auramo distributor, Eurolift Pty Ltd, now stock a variety of different capacity clamp bodies and rotating clamp bodies together with a variety of fork lengths, allowing the flexibility to fit any length fork or providing special arms for uses such as bale handling, delivered in minimum time.
In the latter half of 2009, Bolzoni Auramo will release a new model lateral clamp with a number of new features which should appeal to end-users, offering improved visibility through the clamp, clamping force setting to suit the application, and synchronous movement of the forks/arms. A lateral clamp fitted with a fork length to suit any application can now be supplied within two to three days directly from local stock.
Among its distributed products, the Bolzoni Auramo FZ universal fork positioner offers interesting opportunities. This attachment meets Australian OH&S standards which make the positioners a mandatory part of forklift design. A universal fork positioner allows the driver to adjust the width of the forklift tynes without getting out of his or her seat, thereby reducing the risk of back strain and injury.
According to Bolzoni Auramo Australian managing director Peter Beaumont, the Bolzoni Auramo-designed universal fork positioner provides a low-cost, practical solution for various materials handling operations and pallet sizes.
In 2008, Bolzoni Auramo Pty Ltd added sales, service and parts support for the Meyer products in Australia. Today, the company, in conjunction with Eurolift Pty Ltd, boasts "total national coverage" of the Australian market for Bolzoni Auramo and Meyer forklift attachments.
