Heli has opened an office in UruguayChinese forklift manufacturer Heli has opened its South America subsidiary in Uruguay which will import and export forklifts, spare parts, training and business development.
Heli South America is operating a warehouse and offices out of a 5,200 sqm site in the city centre of Montevideo.
Heli South America chairman Chen Xiancheng said the opening of the Uruguay site was an important step for the company which has ambitions of expanding its market presence through South America.
In a statement, Heli South America says of the opening: “This will not only enhance the influence and competitiveness of the Heli brand in the South American market but also promote its localisation service capabilities in the region”.
“The establishment of Heli South America is not only an important milestone in the globalisation strategy of Heli Forklift Group but also a new opportunity for the development of the South American market.”
In July this year, Heli opened its Oceania headquarters in Sydney which will service Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji as it continues to drive its global expansion.
