Haulotte says sales rose in every geographical regionHaulotte has posted a 28% increase in full year revenue to a record EUR767 million (USD821.7 million), buoyed by higher sales and higher selling prices.
The French telehandler and aerial work platform manufacturer says revenue for the fourth quarter of 2023 was up 13% to EUR199 million (USD213.2 million) as the global market and component costs stabilised.
Haulotte says full year sales increased in all geographical areas:
- In Europe, in a market that eventually declined slightly over the year, excluding Russia, and despite increasingly intense competition, the group recorded sales growth of 14% compared to the previous year;
- In the Asia-Pacific region, sales were up 18% compared to 2022, driven by Turkey and Australia;
- In North America, Haulotte posted a 75% increase in sales over 2023, with the aerial work platform business recording growth of 110%; and
- In Latin America, sales increased by 26%, driven by the strong recovery of the market over the last two years, particularly in Brazil.
By business segment, equipment sales rose 31%, rental business was up by 14%, and services increased 13%.
“The good level of activity at the end of the year allows Haulotte Group to anticipate a current operating margin (excluding exchange gains and losses) close to +4% of sales in 2023,” the company says.
“In a market that is expected to consolidate, as observed in the second half of 2023, Haulotte expects stable sales for 2024.”
