A Haulotte Big Boom at work |
A full range of Haulotte products is being used at the new King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The airport is being developed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation to increase its annual capacity from 13 million to 80 million passengers.
The development will span three phases, the first of which will be completed in mid-2017.
The equipment deployed on the site includes Haulotte Big Booms, which are being used for building and finishing the modern high-tech elevations. The Telescopic HT43RTJPRO, known for its rough-terrain capabilities, and the Diesel Articulated HA41RTJPRO, with its 360 degree continuous turntable rotation, were utilised to reach the difficult working areas. Haulotte's HA260PX is also being used on the bridges of the railway station that will ensure the connection with Mecca and Medina.
Several Haulotte scissors lifts have been at work on interior tasks including H18SX and H15SX models, and the heavy-duty Compact 8, which was used for electrical installations, false ceilings, fire sprinkler installation and interior design of the airport.
