Police have arrested a 27-year-old operator who allegedly rammed his forklift into the gate at the house of his ex-girlfriend after she dumped him.
Reports said Joey Gako was still sober when questioned at the police station.
Gako allegedly drove the forklift straight from the Cebu Port to his girlfriend Maribeth Coronado's house after she broke up with him because of her parent's disapproval of the relationship.
Residents called police after Gako rammed the machine into a steel gate several times, causing it to collapse. No one was injured.
Police said charges would be filed against Gako while his former girlfriend said she would make him pay for the damage.
