 Members can now 'like' Forklfitaction |
As it enters its third decade, Forkliftaction has embraced a growing social media trend and added reader feedback in the form of 'likes'.
Initially available on entries in the
Virtual Expo, the update allows readers to react by clicking one of four options: Like, Good idea, Love it or Email me.
"This is the first time that our viewers can actually express their appreciation for a piece of content on our website," says Ann Hofmans, CEO of Forkliftaction Media.
Already, the new feature has received a positive response from the companies featured in the Virtual Expo, she says, with many appreciating the opportunity for immediate interaction and response to what they are showcasing.
Members interested in finding out more about any item can use the 'email me' button if they are logged in, and the vendor will receive a request together with their email address.
"Today's web users appreciate the two-way flow of information and we expect this new feature will further enhance our members' online experience," says Hofmans, who adds that her team is evaluating the expansion of the 'like' system to other content areas on the portal.
