 Doncaster Central England Co-op |
Thieves have carried out a ram raid on a Doncaster supermarket - less than 24 hours after it opened for the first time.
The criminals used a forklift and a car to smash their way into the co-op in Barnby Dun to steal a cash-dispensing machine.
Central England Co-op only opened the store, its first store in Doncaster, the day before.
Bosses at the firm, which has over 200 shops nationally, had worked to open the store despite the current restrictions caused by the COVID-19 lockdown.
Police are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the break-in.
