Forklifts are among the fastest-growing industrial equipment purchases in Australia, according to data from NAB.
The latest NAB statistics show businesses across Australia are purchasing new equipment and vehicles in record numbers as companies embrace the strongest market conditions seen in years.
Following 2020, where companies across the globe were forced to 'pivot' their business through the pandemic, this year, Australian businesses are investing to build on the opportunities uncovered.
The report notes that forklift purchases have risen 216% year-on-year, just behind irrigation equipment, which rose 217%.
NAB executive - regional and agribusiness Julie Rynski says customers are taking advantage of strong business conditions and confidence while the Government's Instant Asset Write Off Scheme has been key to stimulating investment.
"With business confidence at an all-time high and businesses building on things they've learnt through the pandemic, I'm not surprised that equipment sales are so high," she says.
In a briefing earlier this year, Combilift founder Martin McVicar noted record Australian sales for the Irish manufacturer in the first quarter of 2021, and he told
Forkliftaction News he was confident the growth would be sustained.
