The Egyptian Transport Ministry has completed a comprehensive plan to establish seven dry ports and logistics areas to serve residential, industrial, and commercial centres and maintain the road network by transporting goods to and from these ports by road.
Media reports quote Kamel al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, saying the facilities will be located in both Lower and Upper Egypt.
The General Authority for Land and Dry Ports held intensive meetings at the Ministry of Finance with the consortia that applied for the implementation of a dry port to answer their inquiries about a tender scheduled for August 21 for the project.
