An Australian native bird has found it way into the grounds of JCB's world headquarters in Rocester.
Staff have been trying to help the bright red bird that was spotted in trees near the Hydraulic Business unit.
Quality engineer Andy Mullins says he and welding specialist Les Walker approached the bird hoping to catch it with the help of protective gloves, but it flew away.
"It stands out like a sore thumb and we're all worried it might not survive long ... It must have managed to get free somehow or been released by someone who couldn't look after it."
Parrot expert Marian Ralphs identified the bird as a young Crimson Rosella parrot.
"As long as it's not attacked by blackbirds, crows or birds of prey, it could conceivably live for some months," she says.
