RIPD comic which has inspired the movie

Boston Casting Inc is seeking experienced and licensed forklift operators to work as extras in the feature film "R.I.P.D."

The forklift-related filming is slated to occur on or around 17 September in the Boston metropolitan area of Massachusetts.

Applicants should email their name, digital photograph, details of experience operating forklifts and telephone number to ripdextrascasting@gmail.com.

Boston Casting requests no incoming phone calls and plans to directly contact those selected.

Boston Casting, based in Boston, specialises in casting principal roles as well as extras for feature films, commercials, industrials and reality television shows.

"R.I.P.D" is projected as an action-comedy-crime movie that is based on a comic book.

The quirky premise: A recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the "Rest In Peace Department" and tries to find the man who murdered him.

Boston Casting receives help on this casting call from Film Cape Ann, an online resource for filming north-east of Boston in the city of Gloucester and towns of Rockport, Essex and Manchester-by-the Sea.

Dark Horse Comics Inc of Milwaukie, OR published four monthly issues of the "R.I.P.D." comic book from October 1999 to January 2000. Peter M Lenkov, a television and film writer and producer, wrote the comic book and will receive a credit line in the film.

Dark Horse Comics affiliate Dark Horse Entertainment, Original Film production company and NBCUniversal LLC subsidiary Universal Pictures plan to distribute "R.I.P.D." beginning in June 2013.
