UN Forklift has co-operated with its current forklift dealer in Turkey for six years, enjoying a fruitful relationship over that period.At the beginning of 2014, the Turkish dealer responded to tender for forklifts from the Turkish army.
UN provided significant support for the bid, providing a competitive price, delivery time commitments and applying adaptations to meet some special requirements for the forklifts' functions.
The contact was awarded in September.
For this order,
UN implemented a new tubeless tyre design for its 3 T forklifts, with special rims to meet the army's requirement. This design will now be made available as an option for all customers.
The adapted forklifts also required weighting forks and a totally new type of cabin.

UN spokesman says the order proves that "we try our best to satisfy our customers' requirement".
The special forklifts will reach Turkey at the end of this month.
UN believes the order shows its versatility and anticipates more military orders on the back of the Turkish success.
