According to organizers, the next edition of the event is expected to exceed 500 exhibiting brands and attract more than 44,000 visitors.

Since the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected a 3.2% growth in global GDP for both 2024 and 2025, with Brazil’s economy expected to expand by 2.2% in 2024 and 2.1% in 2025, supply, production, and distribution chains have been heavily investing in logistics solutions to enhance efficiency and handle the increasing volume of goods produced and transported worldwide.

The IMF also forecasts that Brazil will rank as the world’s 8th largest economy in 2024, bolstering its domestic and international presence. This growth places added pressure on the country’s transportation matrix and logistics infrastructure.

The race among freight shippers to develop reliable and efficient logistics networks has also prompted multimodal operators to invest in improving their offerings. This trend is evident in the constant search by logistics companies for opportunities in networking, business, and technical development.

As Latin America’s largest business and content hub for the logistics ecosystem, Intermodal South America plays a strategically significant role in this context. It connects shippers with the most innovative solutions for multimodal logistics, intralogistics, foreign trade, multimodal transportation, and freight management.

In 2025, the event will take place from April 22 to 24 at the new Distrito Anhembi venue. The move to a new pavilion stems from the growing number of exhibiting companies, a trend already observed this year. The 2024 edition occupied a 40,000-square-meter area, hosting over 500 exhibiting brands from 15 countries.

New Venue, New Participants

“The Distrito Anhembi allowed Intermodal to expand its space, enabling participation from several companies that were on the waiting list this year. It’s impressive to see the number of companies returning to exhibit as well as those participating for the first time,” says Fernando D’Ascola, Business Manager of Intermodal South America.

D’Ascola refers to the companies rejoining the event’s exhibitor group and those debuting at Intermodal South America 2025. “These are major players in the multimodal logistics landscape, including FedEx, Paletrans, JAS, Blu Logistics, Braspress, Eternity Group, Pacific International Lines, Pibernat Logística, Baggio, Kinay, Americas Alliance & Ealog, and Toyota Forklifts, among others. They will ensure that the 29th edition is even richer in networking opportunities and logistical solutions. This impressive lineup of companies will undoubtedly draw an even larger audience than this year,” D’Ascola concludes.

The 28th edition of Intermodal South America, held earlier this year, welcomed a record-breaking audience of over 44,000 professionals over three days.

Content-Rich Program

In addition to the exhibition area, Intermodal South America offers an extensive lineup of content-driven events. This year, the 2nd INTERLOG SUMMIT was held over the three days of Intermodal South America 2024 and featured two simultaneous conferences: the 27th CNL – National Logistics Conference, organized by ABRALOG (Brazilian Logistics Association), and the Intermodal South America Congress.

These conferences included four content tracks (panels, lectures, and case studies), with 30 hours of programming, 90 speakers, and 500 congress attendees during the event.
