Technician Responsibilities:
Maintain, diagnose, and repair batteries, chargers and other identified products.
Making a standard battery an ORC battery by adding second cable (POS & NEG) and thermistor to unit.
Complete knowledge of flooded, gel and tubular battery designs.
Growth within the OEM battery manufacturing development of new power sources, with training available.
Document and assess the condition of all scheduled repairs both batteries, and chargers.
Quoting repairs prior to work performed. With documentation and communication with operation manager each step of the way.
Maintain cleanliness of company owned tools and equipment, at all times.
Keep up to date with ever changing demands of the industrial battery, and charger market.
Adhere to all company Policies and Work Rules. Also all Company Safety Rules and guidelines. This includes weekly safety calls, and participation to safety program.
Requirements / Skills
Technician Requirements:
Technical background is a must.
Knowledge of batteries and chargers with focus on ORC & Opportunity systems.
Must have own tools
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Regular and prompt attendance
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.

Working Conditions: Hours will typically be 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, a schedule of four 10 hour days is also possible. Occasional overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
