Greetings all, I had a tech on a machine earlier today, a light had come on the dash with a wrench on it. Checking connections and disconnecting the battery turned the light off. In the event it comes back on, is there a "pedal dance" or any way to access a code for one of us "INDEPENDENT'S"?? :)

On the display if you press the * twice it should say PASSWORD. hit 55555. should give you access to display functions including fault codes. If this does not work someone has changed the password and a Yale or Hyster dealer will need to come out to diagnose
yes i see that now, need a scan tool to pull codes from this one
also the jumper method is possible, find the diagnostic connector and jump pins A and D , turn on key to on position and it should go into diagnostic mode and cause the MIL light to flash the codes.
This system on this truck also uses the spectrum PSI EDIS software so if you happen to have that cable setup that can hook up to this diagnostic connector it may interface with this truck. You just need to make sure it is the right Tier version of software. Either Tier 2 or 3 most likely.
Great info Kevin, thanks for the post. Maybe someone has info on how to jump out the two pins.
On a side note, my Ford '05 6.0 died on me last week. After tons of reading online I purchased a Scan Gauge 2, and plugged into the OBDII port. To monitor FICM voltage and some other values need to troubleshoot with, you could enter parameters under XGauge and set up to have them displayed. I'm wondering if this might be possible on some Nissan models that have the OBDII port??
Codes are "flashed" with the wrench light when you connect a code scan tool, but I believe you can jump two pins in the DTC data connector and flash them that way with out a scan tool...any one know if this is correct, know HYSTER has the same set up on some of their trucks the scan tool(s) are made by Rhinda technologies corp for HYSTER and Yale....they also use this system on marine engines like the 4.3 L v 6 and 4 Cyl. Engines.....
Don't think so. He didn't mention any. I can be sure Tuesday.
notice any codes on the display accompanying this wrench light?
