Yes, that should have a Mazda diesel and it is a very good motor. I've done the service work on one of these Yales for the last 6 to 8 years and they hold up very well. But like johnr says, you should have someone familar with forklifts look it over before you buy it. How much is it?
It's probably a Mazda diesel, thats about all Yale used in their small diesels back then. The bigger models got Perkins diesels.
The Mazda was a solid little engine, I turned wrenches for Yale through most of the 90's and I saw very little problems with them.
Need a serial number to determine the year of manufacturer. The model number doesn't offer any clues as to year.
Don't get "fooled" by low hours on the meter - hour meters - can stop working, be replaced, disconnected, etc. Your need to have someone that is knows fork lift take a close look at - things like steer axle wear, wear on the up right carriage & channels, transmission operation (for ward/reverse) with & without load, etc.
