Toyota 8FGCU25:
Wheel Radius

Hello,

I had a customer with a 8fgcu25 with serial number 22334. The units drive tires were extremely past the wear point. What is the wheel radius value supposed to be? It feels like there is not quite as much power as there should be. I have had the tires replaced. I know on the 3 wheel toyota electrics if the tires wear low you have to Match the tires after having them replaced, just wanted to see if anyone had any information.

Thanks

I think industry standard is 1" of wear off circumference from new diameter. So if original drive tires are 21x7x15 then when tire reaches a height of 19" its time to replace. There is usually a wear line around the sidewall that gives good indication. Sell your customer on the physics that less sidewall means less cushion -more impact damage to entire machine and driver fatigue. Hope this makes sense.
