Yale GLC040RD:
What type of motor is is in this....glc040rd

Hey guys,
I hope I am posting this in the right place. I have a few concerns about a forklift I just acquired for my business.
If any one could tell me what type of motor is in this
glc040rdnuae083
It runs off of LP
It has a greenish color to it
I also have the serial number
and this number if it helps
Yale
693597-504352-05

Next, if anyone has any sources to repair manuals for this or where I might be able to obtain one along with a possible place for parts...

So what actually has me concerned is I want to replace the valve cover gaskets because they are leaking, along with another major issue I have is that this thing has a very hard time getting any speed(No I am no racing with it)
Going up hill I have it floored and it barely wanted to move.

Any help, or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Blazin,
I dont know if you think the engine is the problem because you are not getting enough power out of it or wether the transmission is the problem, if you think its the transmission I may have some info on how to test it but you will have to add an e/mail address for me to send it to you.

That is a manual for a A series, that's much older than your machine. You want one for RD. I don't see any on E Bay.

GC would be the gas one. GLP and GP would be the ones with air filled tires. They made them in the early '90s. RD is the model design series. U is for Mazda. A for automatic trans. E is triple mast.

Mazda FE motor. Maybe look on E Bay for a manual or the Yale dealer. Any forklift repair places can get parts. First thing to check for with the low power is make sure when you floor it the carburetor is actually opening all the way.
