Clark C500 SERIES:
Transmission Questions

Hello all, cool site,

Newbie here, couple of questions....

I have a C500=50
Serial Number 355-1424-2813 375

Question one, where do you check the Level, I can not find the dipstick.. must be dumb and blind

Question two, problem in reverse, need to rev the engine to get it to engage

The dipstick is way up front. Tilt all the way forward and look down behind the mast or raise the forks way up and look in from the front. If it only has a problem in reverse that may be clutch problem but check fluid level to make sure it's not low.
