I am with Huckleberry, We have seen bad points, rotor, cap, Condenser (on the side of the dist) and wires. For the price I would put a copmlete ignition kit in. If you suspect a bad spark??
What about points or is this unit electronic ignition , points should gap at.017 also what engine does this unit have ?
Spark should jump a minimum of 1/4 inch and be bright blue. If spark is yellow or orangem or won't jump that distance, spark plug fouling will result, along with drivability issues under load. Again- where did the parts come from for the tune up & what brand were they?
When holding plug wire to ground we do not see the big spark or big pop you see on other engines. Feeel carburator is running rich in that plugs foul quickly and by observing amount of gas entering carburator.
Describe what you mean by weak spark- weak spark can give the symptoms of a rich carb. Where did you get the tune up parts you put in?
