yale lift truck transmission fluid check

We have a Yale GP060 likt truck and I am wondering if the transmisssion fluid level is checked running or not. Also have the same question on nissan 90's and nissan 60's. Thank in advance.

thanks for the reply. The fork lift guy moved on and I've found myself having to take his place. Probably be more questions in future.

Yale and late nissan stopped. Would assume 60s nissan the same
